True North Research has released a new report detailing the rightwing campaign to confirm Amy Coney Barrett and capture the Supreme Court.

The reason Leonard Leo’s dark money network, Koch-funded groups, and other allies are “all in” for President Trump’s election-eve nominee to the Supreme Court is because they believe she will be a sure vote for their agenda. Trump believes she passes his litmus test to reverse key legal precedents and will also help him retain the presidency when reviewing his political campaign’s legal challenges to counting Americans’ ballots. She has refused to commit to recusing herself from all cases involving this election.

This backgrounder details the multi-million dollar dark money operation orchestrated by Leo, the co-chair of the Federalist Society, who urged Trump to put Barrett on his list to replace the ailing Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Despite rhetoric by Koch and Leo-tied groups about following “the rule of law,” Barrett was chosen for this lifetime position based on the belief she will help reverse a century of legal precedents they dislike, precedents that protect hard-won rights of millions and millions of Americans.
